This programme, which covers essential areas such as Blockchain Applications, Digital Currencies, Financial Modeling, Machine Learning, AI in FinTech, Risk Management, InsurTech, and RegTech, aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The curriculum will also cover regulatory frameworks, payment systems, loans, and innovative technologies influencing the Fintech industry.

Speaking on the collaboration, Nikhil Barshikar, Founder & CEO of Imarticus Learning, said:

The Fintech sector is a major driver of India’s economic transformation and is brimming with job opportunities. This requires fresh graduates to have the skills and knowledge of emerging trends, technologies, and strategies driving the fintech revolution. Our partnership with SRMIST is a significant step in creating future-ready leaders to help further the industry and help India achieve its vision of becoming a global Fintech powerhouse. By combining SRMIST’s academic excellence with our industry-driven approach, this programme will empower learners with the skills and insights required to excel in high-demand roles.

The curriculum provides a unique combination of theoretical learning and hands-on practice. It features seminars led by FinTech professionals that offer real-world insights and experience learning and hands-on exercises, simulations, and practical projects that increase subject understanding. Furthermore, it will include industry workshops, networking events with professionals, and collaborative inter-college competitions to encourage innovation and teamwork so that students can graduate with competence and practical experience. This will be a two-year full-time programme with all sessions held on campus.

SRMIST’s Pro Vice-Chancellor (SBL), Prof. A. Vinay Kumar, added:

This collaboration with Imarticus Learning reflects our shared commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in education. The Master’s in FinTech Programme is tailored to address the financial sector’s evolving needs and prepare students for leadership roles. By integrating academic rigour with industry relevance, we are committed to shaping the future of fintech education in India.

Nikhil Barshikar and Sonya Hooja founded Imarticus Learning in 2012 with the aim of upskilling professionals to meet current and future job market demands in a variety of industries. The organization provides programmes to educate students for successful finance, data science, analytics, technology, marketing, and management professions. Since its inception, the Mumbai-based company has impacted over one million careers, placing 75,000+ learners in major MNCs through its partnership with 3,500+ worldwide hiring partners. With over 20 offices and training locations across India and a team of over 1,000 trained experts, the company continues to promote educational growth and innovation.
