ETS India, the world’s most extensive educational assessment, research and measurement organization and owner of tests such as TOEFL® and GRE®, has partnered strategically with HDFC Credila Financial Services Limited (‘HDFC Credila’), India’s leading education loan provider. The collaboration aims to enhance accessibility for Indian students who aspire to study abroad and enable them to make a smoother transition to international academic institutions.

Under the partnership, subject to specific terms and conditions, GRE® or TOEFL® test takers from India will receive a cashback of up to RS 19,110/- in the form of gift vouchers provided they avail of HDFC Credila education loans. This partnership aims to make the study abroad journey more accessible for Indian students and help them secure admission to the best universities abroad, as TOEFL® and GRE® are the most widely accepted tests globally for admissions.

Commenting on the partnership, Sachin Jain, Country Manager of India and South Asia at ETS, said:

By providing cashback of GRE® or TOEFL® test fees and promoting scholarships amongst Indian students, ETS aims to make international education more accessible and equitable. Additionally, the financial assistance provided through HDFC Credila’s education loans and ETS India’s scholarships will significantly reduce financial barriers for Indian students.

In addition to this collaboration, HDFC Credila will co-promote ETS India’s existing TOEFL® and GRE® scholarships, including the prestigious TOEFL® India Championship, GRE® I, India Contest and the TOEFL® UK-India Scholarship. These scholarships, which are contests that have a cumulative prize of approximately INR 50 lacs, will significantly expand the chances for deserving students to pursue their academic goals overseas.

ETS is committed to powering human progress by promoting skill proficiency, empowering up, and mobility and unlocking more opportunities for everyone, everywhere. The platform continues to operate worldwide, with offices in 25 locations and operations in 200 countries and territories.

Hitesh Parashar, Chief Business Officer of HDFC Credila, stated:

Our partnership with ETS India aligns with our mission to provide education loan solutions to Indian students. We are pleased to reimburse the TOEFL® and GRE® test fees and co-promote scholarships that will benefit many students. We aim to make studying abroad more accessible and attainable for Indian students.

This alliance seeks to enable more students to fulfil their academic aspirations while studying overseas by facilitating a smooth transition from application to acceptance.

With an in-depth understanding of the higher education domain in India and overseas, HDFC Credila offers tailor-made education loan solutions with unique features and benefits. This enables students to be financially equipped to pursue their education at their dream university and country of study. The company is among the preferred education loan providers, having funded 178,000+ Indian students pursuing 3,300+ courses across 4,600+ universities in 63 countries since inception.
