Footprints, a renowned Play School and preschool brand and leading provider of high-quality early education and childcare services, has announced an expansion strategy to open 200 new centres by the end of 2025, bringing the company’s total count to 350 centres across India. This expansion initiative is projected to drive the company’s gross revenue run rate to an impressive 275 CR, making them among the top 3 preschool players in India by revenue.

Footprints’ expansion strategy focuses primarily on tier A and B locations with many urban families. The company’s selection criteria prioritize sites with a high demand potential and favourable demographics for early education offerings. The company operates in 20 cities and plans to expand to almost 40 by the end of 2025. The startup, with its deep commitment to excellence and innovation, has evolved to meet the ever-evolving demands of modern families. The company is investing significantly in AI technologies to improve its operating capabilities. This investment will allow the firm to track essential features like lesson plan delivery, cleanliness, and adult-child ratios in real time, assuring the most significant levels of quality and safety.

Speaking about the development, Co-founder & CEO of Footprints, Raj Singhal, said:

We are excited to commence this significant expansion journey as we continue to fulfil our mission of nurturing young minds across India. Our focus remains on providing exceptional early education and childcare services while leveraging technology to enhance parental involvement and operational efficiency.

To finance its expansion plans, Footprints primarily relies on internal accrued profits. However, the company is open to securing external capital to acquire regional players and strengthen its brand presence in underrepresented geographies. Additionally, a portion of the funds will be allocated towards establishing centres in corporate towers, capitalizing on the demand from parents migrating to Southeast Asian countries who seek to replicate its experience internationally. It has established a unique hybrid model that combines the strengths of the franchise and company-operated centres, ensuring unparalleled quality and scalability while remaining steadfast in the commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children, empowering parents to actively participate in their children’s growth journey.

Footprints, founded and operated by alumni of prestigious institutions such as IIT and IIM, has a significant presence throughout India, with 110 sites in 16 cities and more than 33,000 parents who embrace it. The platform takes excellent satisfaction in enhancing early childhood brain development, providing children with the necessary skills and steadfast confidence to succeed. Footprints ParentConnect App incorporates innovative technology with a thorough awareness of the issues faced by parents in balancing their busy lives with active participation in their child’s growing journey.
