Podium X, an online platform aiming to translate the experiences and soft skills of the athlete into a shareable profile and instant resume connected to a job board, has recently partnered with Jacksonville University Athletics, a premier private institution in northeast Florida, to prepare students for their post-collegiate career.

The Podium X allows the creation of an online profile specially designed for athletes to highlight their unique journey and valuable soft skills often developed through athletics. Student-athletes can represent themselves digitally or create traditional resume PDFs with a click and be matched to hundreds of national job openings. Employers post job openings and can view student profiles matching the needed skills.

Speaking on the partnership, Founder & CEO of Podium X, Rich Thompson, said:

We are especially excited to be working with JU here in our own city. With the close proximity, it enables us to offer additional services and workshops to provide the greatest support to help these athletes continue to win beyond sports.

Founded by Rich Thompson, Podium X is developed by experts in career services with extensive experience in staffing and recruiting, training/development, talent management, and human resources. The technology is designed to showcase student-athletes and help them tell their stories resulting in more confidence in their transferable skills and experiences. The company is backed by the power of XPG Recruit Athlete, a Jacksonville, Florida-based XPG Recruit division, with an experienced team specializing in placing graduated athletes into career opportunities.

Athletic Director of Jacksonville University, Alex Ricker-Gilbert, said in a statement:

JU is dedicated to supporting our student-athletes and delivering leading solutions to promote career readiness. We are excited to be working with Podium X to enhance the personal brands of our student-athletes and highlight their accomplishments in a way that positions them for the best careers possible upon graduation.

Jacksonville University offers more than 100 majors, minors, and programs, including degrees in Business, Marine Science, Engineering, Physics, and Nursing and those in the more contemporary and specialized fields of Aviation, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Film, Animation, and Sports Business.
