MPOWER Financing (“MPOWER”), a mission-driven FinTech firm and the leading provider of non-cosigner loans to promising international students, has announced a partnership with F-1 Hire, a data-driven staffing and career management company that helps U.S. employers find qualified global candidates. This strategic alliance is set to provide a win-win situation, offering skilled individuals from all over the world enhanced opportunities for success by leveraging the unique assets of both companies.

With its global headquarters in Washington, D.C., MPOWER works with over 400 top universities in the United States and Canada to offer cosigner-free funding to students from more than 200 nations. Thanks to its patented algorithm, international students have greater access to education. The algorithm evaluates each applicant’s skill to ensure equity in education loans regardless of income, background, or gender.

Lisa Kaplan, Head of Product and Digital Platforms at MPOWER Financing, expressed the significance of the collaboration, stating:

Our partnership with F1 Hire is a pivotal step in dismantling the barriers that international students encounter in the global job market. This alliance underscores our unwavering commitment to our students, providing them with a robust support system that addresses their academic, professional, and financial needs.

International students, compared to their domestic counterparts, often face numerous financial and legal obstacles, along with additional difficulties in finding employment in the United States after graduation. Shockingly, less than 1.6% of job postings in the U.S. employment market are friendly to international talents, and 12% of organizations expressly reject any sponsorship, according to the International Talent Friendliness Index (ITFI), which F1 Hire diligently monitors. This partnership aims to address these challenges head-on.

Andrew Chen, CEO and Co-founder of F1 Hire expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating:

We’re thrilled to join forces with MPOWER and support their mission of helping international students study in the U.S. and Canada. Together, we’ll pave the way for talented students worldwide to realize their dreams and potential, confident in the success of our partnership.

F1 Hire is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based company that helps small-to-midsize companies find and hire international talent in the United States. It also helps with sponsorship and onboarding procedures. Additionally, the company allows colleges and other educational institutions to effectively promote career readiness through data. MPOWER supports its students in attaining career readiness through its Path2Success program, which will be enhanced by F1 Hire’s support to help these students seek gainful employment in their desired field after graduation.
