Primebook, a one-of-a-kind made-in-India Android laptop brand, recently announced a significant milestone by successfully delivering over 20,000 laptops to the Government of India, enabling the establishment of digital libraries in 20 out of 28 states and 5 out of 8 Union Territories as part of its mission to bridge India’s digital divide. These libraries are transforming educational access for students in underserved communities, preparing them for higher education and future employment opportunities.

Primebook laptops have facilitated digital libraries in the states of Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Telangana, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Tripura, Nagaland, Assam, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim. Furthermore, the Union Territories benefitting are Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Chandigarh, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Pondicherry. These digital libraries have become gateways to knowledge and opportunity by connecting students with essential educational resources.

Speaking about this initiative, Chitranshu Mahant, Co-founder and CEO of Primebook, said:

The success of this initiative is a testament to the potential of technology in reshaping education for the better. The initiative has made a remarkable impact, reaching 350,000 students across numerous towns. Primebook laptops have transformed these libraries into learning hubs, offering access to many digital resources, including online courses, e-books, and interactive learning platforms. This access empowers students to excel academically and pursue their career aspirations confidently and without compromise.

He further added:

At Primebook, we are proud to support the Government of India in enabling students from remote and underserved communities to access quality educational tools, helping them unlock their true potential.

Primebook’s partnership with the Government of India underscores its commitment to making quality education accessible to all. These digital libraries are not just facilities but catalysts for change, enabling students from remote regions to compete nationally and globally in this digital race.

Aman Verma, Co-Founder at Primebook, stated:

Hearing stories of students using our laptops to prepare for competitive exams and enhance their skills fills us with immense pride. This initiative reaffirms our aim of a digitally inclusive India where every learner has the opportunity to succeed.

The initial data highlights the revolutionary impact of these digital libraries. During their first year of operation, over 25,000 students used the digital libraries to prepare for competitive exams like NEET and JEE. The initiative resulted in a 15% increase in students qualifying for these top universities. Furthermore, libraries have become important centres for skill development, with over 50,000 students enrolled in vocational training programmes and online courses. Early reports indicate a 10% increase in employment rates among students who used these resources.

Primebook, a Made-in-India company, was founded to bridge the digital divide by transforming digital learning with innovative Android-powered laptops. It offers affordable, high-performance gadgets designed for students and learners, particularly in tier 2 and 3 cities. Its laptops, which run the proprietary PrimeOS operating system, provide seamless access to educational and productivity resources, redefining educational accessibility. The platform is committed to enabling the next generation by delivering technology-driven solutions that improve learning experiences. The company’s goal is to make laptops accessible to all.
