These programmes empower youngsters with the competencies to excel in the evolving job market. As the career landscape is rapidly evolving due to technological advancements, the courses provided by this strategic partnership aim to equip the nation’s youth with meticulously designed courses to meet the demands of emerging industries. With the support of the Reliance Foundation’s digital-forward strategy, this collaboration is expected to gain popularity among young people interested in current career opportunities that require innovative thinking.

As part of the collaboration, the Reliance Foundation and NSDC will focus on numerous vital aspects, such as designing and developing a curriculum, establishing student services, trainer training programmes, fostering collaboration, AI-driven online assessments, Certifications, and industry-aligned placements.

Speaking on the alliance, Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, said:

India will become unstoppable by embracing the mantra of skilling, re-skilling, and up-skilling. Various digital initiatives in the skilling ecosystem are ensuring Skills Anywhere, Skills Anytime, and Skills for All. As India marches towards becoming a developed nation, by leveraging technology, scale, and sustainability, the Indian workforce will meet domestic and global demand and set new benchmarks.

The cooperation highlights their shared vision and aim of leveraging their unique strengths to address the skills gap and equip Indian youngsters for job opportunities. It seeks to provide these young individuals with the skills they will need to succeed in an increasingly competitive global economy, emphasizing technology, scale, and sustainability.

Emphasizing the importance of this partnership, Jagannatha Kumar, CEO of Reliance Foundation, stated:

India has the largest youth population in the world, and this is our effort to prepare them with future-ready skills. At Reliance Foundation, we will help fulfil their aspirations and achieve their goals. This partnership with NSDC will help youth develop the skills to align competencies with evolving work profiles and opportunities. Reliance Foundation and NSDC bring a shared vision and purpose, along with our unique strengths, to contribute to our youth.

NSDC, a nodal skill development agency under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, is a one-of-a-kind Public-Private Partnership (PPP) aimed at catalyzing the construction of a broad and high-quality vocational training ecosystem in India. The organization has established 37 Sector Skill Councils (SSCs). It implements the government’s flagship skill development schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKYY) and the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), among others.
