The University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education has accepted sixteen companies into Cohort 7 of its Education Technology Accelerator (EdTech), which helps EdTech entrepreneurs improve their solutions, accelerate growth and increase impact.

The companies in this year’s cohort work in all education sectors, including K-12, higher education, and workforce learning. Rainbow Chefs Academy, Aicelsior, RightOn Education, Knowalla, Sagax.ai, Emancipation Group, Rhymes with Reason, YouROK Corp., General Genomics, Careerfully, Math-A-Matics Tutoring, LUGA UP, Musa, Sara Technology, Sertifier, and Excuela are among the firms that have joined Cohort 7.

Speaking about the development, Mark DeGennaro, managing director of the Edtech Accelerator, said in a statement:

We are thrilled to welcome the seventh cohort of Edtech entrepreneurs to the Accelerator program, and we look forward to helping this talented group accelerate the growth of their businesses and continue to meaningfully impact learning outcomes.

The EdTech Accelerator was established in 2018 and supports education solutions with high potential to improve the quality and equity of education, from early childhood through adult learning. It is fully virtual and does not charge tuition, take equity in the companies that participate in the program, or require that entrepreneurs relocate, making it accessible to all entrepreneurs irrespective of their ability to pay. Entrepreneurs in the program benefit from interaction with USC faculty and the university’s network of industry participants, advisors, and mentors.

USC Rossier Dean Pedro Noguera added:

We are very excited to welcome these innovators to the USC Rossier family and to help support their work to promote educational excellence and equity. This is important work, and USC is proud to champion it.

USC’s EdTech Accelerator is a virtual program that nurtures and accelerates the growth of EdTech startups by providing a combination of operational and technical assistance, business strategy, product roadmap development/refinement and access to participants in the education ecosystem – including educators, investors, foundations, education companies and key service providers. It aims to assist companies with productive solutions to improve educational access and outcomes for all learners. Companies in the program are located all over the world and are developing solutions in all education markets, K-12, Higher Ed and Workforce. It has raised over $130 million in funding from EdTech investors, helped over 23 million learners improve their educational outcomes, and earned numerous awards and accolades for their innovations.
