About: Social Media can play a meaningful role in teaching and learning in today’s classrooms. Whether you are working in a physical classroom or a virtual or blended space, the potential for social media to engage students and enable collaboration is something all educators should be aware of. Social Media can facilitate social learning, enhance retention, and facilitate lifelong learning (for student and teacher alike)! In this Hangout, Kelly Walsh, CIO at The College of Westchester, founder of EmergingEdTech.com, and recognized Top Social CIO, will discuss many aspects of the relationship between Social Media and the academic world.
