Upright Education, a leading provider of tech skilling programmes, has united with Oklahoma’s Northeastern State University (NSU) to address the growing demand for tech talent in Oklahoma. This collaboration is a significant milestone in enhancing workforce development initiatives in the state, particularly to meet the tech labour growth in cities like Tulsa and Oklahoma City, where the tech industry is experiencing robust growth. This partnership underscores the commitment to the local community and its shared goal of fostering economic growth and professional empowerment.

Upright Education and NSU are committed to equipping adults with the essential skills to transition into high-demand roles within software engineering, data analytics, digital marketing, and UX/UI design through this partnership. The programmes are 100% online but include several weekly live instruction times to ensure learners can comprehend, retain, and apply new skills. The platform also provides unlimited access to career services to support job placement – including job search best practices and 1:1 career coaching sessions. This comprehensive wraparound model is designed to support vital completion and placement outcomes.

Benny Boas, CEO of Upright Education, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership:

We are thrilled to launch our first partnership in Oklahoma, a region with a growing and evolving tech landscape. By joining forces with NSU, an institution dedicated to workforce development, we aim to empower adult learners to thrive in lucrative new careers and drive sustained economic growth.

Upright Education said this is an excellent time to enhance workforce development in Oklahoma, “particularly to meet the tech labour growth in cities like Tulsa and Oklahoma City, where the tech industry is experiencing robust growth.”

Dr. Eloy A. Chavez, Dean of the College of Extended Learning and Continuing Education, stated:

This collaboration brings together our shared commitment to empowering and supporting individuals in their professional development journey. We are pleased to join forces with Upright Education to enhance access to resources, training programmes, and opportunities that will enrich the lives and careers of the Oklahoma workforce.

Upright Education was founded in 2021 by serial education entrepreneur Benny Boas alongside a team of industry experts with a vision to revolutionize how adult learners upskill in today’s fast-paced job market. Inspired by this, the company embarked on a mission to create an experiential learning platform that equips adult learners with the skills and knowledge essential at every stage of their career journey. The foundation of Upright Education is a community based on growth, support, and cooperation. Its dedicated mentors and industry professionals serve as guides, offering valuable insights, personalized feedback, and career advice.
