Google Chromebooks were released in May 2011 as the first computers to run fully in the Google Chrome web browser. Chromebook users experience increased productivity and decreased IT costs, making these computers useful to a wide variety of people.  In particular, Google realized the advantages of these Chromebooks to schools and has created Chromebooks for Education.

Chromebooks are the one of its kind cloud based PCs from Google. These Chromebooks are streaming with excellent features. They not only offer the functionality of a notebook computer but also are cost-effective, dependable, and have virtually no time down. They update automatically so that user always have the latest virus protection along with other latest features. And the best of all, Chromebook won’t slow down over time. Chromebooks were created with web in mind. Chromebooks are the new type of computer designed to help you get things done faster and easier. Nowadays Chromebooks are gaining popularity in education industry.  Because it has many features the tool is easily being able to attract a vast number of education stakeholders.

It only makes sense that Chromebooks have found their way into education and become a favorite choice for many school districts and administrators. More than half of K-12 laptops or tablets purchased by U.S. schools in the third quarter were Chromebooks, cheap laptops that run Google software. Beyond its famed Web search, the company freely offers word processing and other software to schools. In total, Google programs are used by more than 50 million students and teachers around the world, the company says.
