As art teachers of upcoming students, especially in K-12, we are supposed to expose students to all media and that includes digital technology. 

There are many amazing companies and apps to start the creative ways that technology can be used in the art classroom. Here’s a list of those companies that might help you integrate technology in your art classroom.

Atomic Learning

Atomic Learning is dedicated on endorsing the applied application of ICT in education by endowing teachers with the resources and training to ready students for 21st century. Atomic learning uses iMovie to help educators in integrating technology in an art classroom.

As you might know iMovie enables users to make movies with ease, provides powerful and easier powerful means for editing features and available with a variety of new video and audio effects, as well as transitions. iMovie also supports HDV high-definition video.

Tipitap

Tipitap is a front-runner in education mobile space. It reinvents traditional kid’s educational products for touchscreens. The team of Tipitap is making apps for kids, from 0 to 8 years old. Its app Kid’s art puzzle: sliding slices! enables the teacher to integrate tech in art class.

This fun app familiarise students with some of the best paintings in the history of art. Trying to resolve the puzzles help students to focus on the paintings and its details. It enables to enhance their general knowledge of art as well their artistic sensibilities.

Autodesk

Autodesk is a global leader in 3D design software for education, civil infrastructure, natural resources, engineering, entertainment, manufacturing, construction. Autodesk offers free software download to students. There are many learning tools and apps are also available. SketchBook Express for iPad and 123D Sculpt+ are two apps by Autodesk that educators can used in an art classroom.

SketchBook Express for iPad is an intuitive and fun way to draw. With this app, students can use tools and professional-grade brushes to do art, to make doodles and quick sketches. It offers full-screen workspace which supports any device. The app is free of cost for everyone.

123D Sculpt+ is another app by Autodesk for art classroom. Users can use detailed features and paint on skin, feather and fur. Users can also export their finished sculpture as an image or 3D print or 3D model with this app.

Pixlr-o-matic is one more app by Autodesk that can be used in the art classroom. It is a simple and fun photography/darkroom app that can quickly add style in pictures using overlays, effects, and borders.

Infinite Dreams

Infinite Dreams  is a team of hardcore gamers and the company deals in mobile gaming and provides highly addictive and unique games for various platforms. Let’s Create! Pottery HD Lite is a wonderful app for an art classroom. 

 

Duck Duck Moose

Duck Duck Moose is a company started by parents and engage is creating award-winning educational apps. The team of Duck Duck Moose works with teachers in class and test with students of all levels and age and make sure app are fit for kids.

ChatterPix Kids is an app by Duck Duck Moose for the art classroom. With this app, one can simply take any picture; draw a line and record voice. They can also share pictures, playful message, greetings ad well as creative cards with their family and friends.
