Teachers do have an everlasting impact on their students be it the way they take care of the students or set an example for everything they do in front of their students. Great teachers do create great students and somewhere in the process even great humans!

Professional development is an important thing that is often ignored by many authorities except some. But the ignorance doesn’t decrease the impact it has on educators and the benefits it hold for the whole community.

Initiating this effort, Pearson has come out with their “Learning Makes Us” professional development webinar series introducing college and university educators to latest education trends, learning designs, pedagogical approaches and research in higher education and the professional world, this series is a great opportunity for the educators to polish their skills, be better at their work and even earn some badges and CEUs.

Available for the study of business, computer science, employability, engineering, humanities, social science, language and English, math and stats, life and physical sciences, this amazing series is all set for a period of one year. Educators can register for the disciple that suits them and get started. These webinars also may include presentations that cover the current events that are especially relevant to the discipline helping individuals to stay abreast in their field.

Also, you have the flexibility to attend only the sessions that interest you. Each session is free and includes a Q&A session so that you actually learn inside out. One other advantage of indulging in these webinars is that it can be a great way for teachers to connect with other educators and explore more about their professional community.

Participating in these live webinars brings you the opportunities to add more to your CV as you get a chance to earn Acclaim professional development badges. For selected webinars, Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Acclaim badges are available for participants who satisfactorily complete a webinar and CEU project.

Check the complete criteria here to get your badges.

And teachers, your teachers are going to be speakers from Pearson, authors, and educators from across the U.S. who will share inspirational insights and practical ideas that can help you discover new perspectives and grow.

At Pearson, our mission is to help people make more of their lives through learning. The ‘Learning Makes Us’ webinar series supports educators on their journey of discovery and learning, providing them with insights that will shape the learning opportunities that they provide for their students,” said John Wannemacher, vice president of higher education strategic marketing, Pearson.
