Defining education and limiting it to the academics is wrong.

Parents believing that all that matters is grades and other co-curricular activities are wrong. Parents blaming teachers for the fallback in children is wrong. Putting efforts for your children education, health, and every aspect except giving importance on the values they have is wrong. When there are so many things wrong, a step taken in a direction to make things a little right is what counts.

The right education is not just limited to the grades, sports and other co-curricular activities. The purpose of education is to help a child evolve in a better being and that comprises of a lot many things like the values they have, importance of morals in a child, the way a child believes in integrity and kindness, the way they help others in need and stand for right. All such values aren’t acquired at school as the child spends a lot of time at home and picks a lot of habits and values from home.

Because the child learns most from their parents it is essential to make sure that the parenting is being done right. The direction and the right step I mentioned above is directed to “The SPIRITED -The Shruti Show”, a web episode that promotes Value Education. The Show hosted by Shruti Nagar Dave, covers trends in education, Life of a teacher, contribution of people in education industry, Innovations in education and learning, Schooling and parent concerns of the generation, work in Creative and performing arts, and highlight extra ordinary actions by uncommon people from global perspectives.

The first episode of the show is themed on “Parwarish”. In conversation with Sushant Kalra, the man running an institute on parenting and focusing on the impact of the same on both parents’ as well as the children’s lives. “Parwarish” is inspired by Wayne Dyer’s concept of No Limits in children; Parwarish focuses on nurturing that No-Limit child’s life by bringing education and science in the area of parenting. The dictionary meaning of parenting means ‘The upbringing and care of a child’.

With excellence in understanding the overall developmental aspects of children, Parwarish is an expert in offering series of coaching and workshops for parents and teachers of children from all age groups.

They empowering the participants with an access to their issues rather than giving them handy tips. The workshops are specially designed to open participants’ channels of thinking. They help them to find their own solutions to everyday issues and work towards creating a stimulating environment for their child.

With their commitment to make parenting and teaching more comfortable and joyful experience; Parwarish’s bunch of young professionals work with full zeal and passion for the parents and teachers so that they can raise effectively healthy, happy and productive children

The first episode of the show titled, “Parwarish” By Sushant Kalra” covered the following questions:

– What is parenting?

– Why was it so easy with many children in earlier times and it is other way round with 1-2 children?

– Is it that the learning disability increased in number? Does it really exist in every 1 on 3 children?

Watch out the complete episode below:

I think it’s a great start to create awareness and make people understand the importance of the “Value Education”. The SPIRITED -The Shruti Show is a great way to come up front and try to make a change in the society. People who are interested to feature in the show can fill up the form here.

Educators, parents, students and everyone must watch this episode and try to figure out where you are going wrong and what can be done to make it right.
